First Christian Church was formerly affliated with the Disciples of Christ denomination, but could not continue with them due to their drifting away from the Word of God as absolute authority in our lives. We are currently an Independant Christian Church that believes in the Word of God as our authority for faith & practice. We further believe that our Lord Jesus is the ONLY way to the Father which is one of the deviations that the DOC has embraced. Two of my favorite scriptures are found in: II Corinthians 5:17 "Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." Revelation 12:11 "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death." 1-3 of 3 articles Instructions of Life!
